You've put weeks of work into it, and yet sometimes things just don't come together. A last-minute permit, an artist canceling at the eleventh hour – despite all your efforts, there are plenty of reasons why an event may still not go ahead.

In the event of a cancellation or rescheduling, communication is paramount.

Start by informing your ticket buyers. This can be done through a newsletter that we prepare for you.

You should actively reach out to ticket buyers, so simply posting a message on your event's website or Facebook page won't suffice. Sending out the initial message to ticket buyers helps prevent a flood of questions from them later on, saving both you and us a lot of work.

At the same time as sending the newsletter to your buyers, you can inform other parties about the cancellation of your event.

Only after you have informed everyone should you post a message on your website/social media pages and take the sales pages offline.

CANCELLATION

In the event of your event being cancelled, refunds will need to be issued to attendees. We always advise refunding ticket fees, including service charges, to consumers to ensure a smooth financial resolution with your fans.

The following process will be initiated:

1. Firstly, we draft a newsletter to the buyers.

2. Upon your approval, the newsletter is sent out.

3. Ticket funds are refunded to buyers according to the agreement within 30 days.

4. A financial settlement between the event organizer and Ticketpoint follows.

Relocation event

In the event of your event being postponed, attendees will be given the choice to:

  • Attend the event on the new date

We will draft an informational email offering attendees these options. Depending on the setup of your event, attendees may either retain their current tickets or receive new ones.

The following process will be initiated:

1. Firstly, we draft a newsletter to the buyers.

2. Upon your approval, the newsletter is sent out.

3. Ticket buyers communicate their choice to Ticketpoint.

4. Any rescheduling is processed, and refunds, if applicable, are issued within 30 days to the ticket buyers.

5. A financial settlement between the event organizer and Ticketpoint follows.
